The
actual name is Abdu Manaf bin Abdul Muttalib ibn Hashim, was "Abu
Talib" is the name of calls originating from that first son Talib. Abu Talib was the uncle and foster father of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam, he is the father of Ali bin Abi Talib.
Abu Talib had received a message from his father Abdul Mutthalib to nurture the Prophet and has implemented the mandate. The Prophet is the best of care and Abu Talib was the best of the caregiver.
Abu Talib defend the Prophet with the body and soul in preaching. When the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam and his followers had been obstructed in a valley. Then came Abu Talib to toughen said: "You will not be able to touch Muhammad before you bury me". Abu Talib was always faithful to accompany the Prophet. He was the one who helped the struggle of Islam.
Abu Talib died intestate when going to his family for always being behind the Prophet and defend him to compose his message.
Abu Talib was the hero leading the Bani Hashim and their leaders. The Prophet invited him to Islam but he refused.
Bukhari in his Saheeh hadith, tafsir book No. 4675 and 4772, 24 Muslims, from Al Musayyib bin Hazn said, "When Abu Talib almost died, the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam visited him and found Abu Jahl and Abdullah ibn Abi Umayya Abu Talib side. Then the Prophet said, "O uncle, say Laa Ilaha Illallah a sentence that I would defend you because that speech before God."
Abu Jahl and Abdullah ibn Abi Umayya said, "Do you hate religion Abdul Muttalib?" He constantly offers to his uncle to say it, but the two of them kept repeating. Until the end of the speech of Abu Talib remained in Abdul Muttalib and religion are reluctant to say Laa Ilaha Illallah. The Prophet said,
"I'm really going to pray for your forgiveness for not prohibited".
Then Allah revealed the verse,Not for the Prophet and the believers ask forgiveness (to Allah) for the idolaters, polytheists ornag Although it is the kin (her), after obvious to them that the idolaters are inhabitants of Hell. (At Tawbah: 113).
Allah revealed this verse regarding the Abu Tholib. And God said to Allah's Apostle"Surely you can not give instructions to the person you love, but Allah gives guidance to whom He will." (Al-Qoshosh: 56).
Other History: From Abu Hurairah, said;Prophet said to his uncle, "Say La ilaha Illallah, I will testify for you on the Day of Judgement", Abu Talib said, "If the Quraysh did not criticize me by saying" Abu Talib to say it because it is almost dead ". Then Allah revealed the verse (At Tawbah: 113) to the Prophet.
Of Al Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib, said, "O Allah's Apostle, if you can give benefits to Abu Talib, because he used to take care of you and defend you?" He replied, "Yes, he was in hell the most superficial, if not for me surely he is at the very bottom of hell. "(HR. Bukhari no. 3883, 6208, 6572, 209 Muslim)
From Abu Sa'id Al Khudri, said, mentioned his uncle Abu Talib side of the Prophet, then he said, "hopefully my syafa'at useful to him later on the Day of Judgment. Therefore he was placed in the most superficial hell, hell fire reached her ankle because her brain was boiling ". (HR.Bukhari 3885, 6564, 210 Muslim)
There are still many other history which states infidelity Abu Talib at the moment of death.He died in 3 Before Hijriyah.
