Zaid ibn Thabit (Died 45 H)

His full name was Zayd ibn Thabit bin Adh-Dhahak Ludzan bin Zaid bin Amr, he converted to Islam when the age of 11 years when the battle of Badr occurred. 

His life journey


Prophet handed the flag of Bani Malik ibn an-Najjar to the 'Emirate as commander of the battle of Tabuk, the Prophet took it and handed over to Zaid ibn Thabit. When he asked, the Emirate asked, "O Messenger of Allah, whether you will give up something that you give me ?. He replied, "No, but the Quran should take precedence, and Zaid bin Thabit more master reading the Quran than you".Zaid also as the author of revelation to the Prophet respectfully.

When Umar became the Caliph, he was appointed amir (governor) Medina 3 times in the capital or in the central region, and he also was assigned to collect the Quran on the orders of Abu Bakr and Umar, as described in the history narrated by Bukhari: "Zaid bin Thabit said, "I told Abu Bakr facing a murder committed with regard to the population of Yamamah, and when it was his presence there was Umar ibn al-Khattab. Then Abu Bakr said, "If the war continues to rage many casualties of the Muslims, many of
someone know by heart Quran killed in this country, which eventually many parts of the Quran are missing then that the Quran is booked, I held the same views with Umar, you are intelligent men and young, then find and assemble (manuscripts) al-Quran ".

Zaid ibn Thabit was a scholar whose position is equal to the scholars of the other companions, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully said, "My community most mastered Faraidh is Zayd ibn Thabit". Another history matching found in the history of Imam an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah, where the prophet said, "My community is the most compassionate of Abu Bakr, the most powerful testimony before God is Umar, the feeling of shame is the most recognized and most master Uthman faraidh is Zayd ibn Thabit. ".


When Zaid bin Thabit Abu Hurairah died then said, "Has the death of the best of these people may Allah make Ibn abbas as successor".


Death of

 He died in Medina in 45 H at the age of 56 years (in another narration he died in 51 H or 52 H).
