Sa'ad ibn Abi Waqqas (Died 55 H)

His full name is Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqas bin Az-Zuhri Uhaib with the nickname "Abu Ishaq", he was one of ten persons who received the good news would go to heaven, and among the first to throw arrows in Sabillillah war, he was the that the four first converted to Islam at the hands of Abu Bakr when he was 17 years old.


Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas follow many battles along the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi respectfully, in the war he joined the cavalry. He comes from the descendants of Venus cognate with the mother of the Prophet (Amina).

Caliphate Umar appointed him commander of the troops sent to fight against the Persians and beat him in 15 H in Qadisiyah. A year later 16 H in Julailak he conquered Bani al-Madain and Kuffa in 17 H.


Sa'ad ibn Abi Waqqas was the Iraqi authorities in the government era Umar continued during the reign of Uthman bi Affan. He is a man among the six best friends who is nominated to be the Caliph, since a major disaster for the killing of Uthman.


Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas narrated the hadith of Abdullah bin Abbas, Abdullah ibn Umar and Khaulah bint Hakim.


Who narrated the hadith from him was Mujahid, Alqamah bin Qais bin Yazid as sa'ib, most authentic Sanad stems from it is narrated by Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, thereof (Sa'ad bin Abi Waqqas) .


He died on 55 H in Aqiq know.
