Abdullah bin Abbas (Died 68H)

Abdullah bin Abbas is the fifth friend who many hadiths narrated after Sayyida Aisha, he narrated the hadith 1,660.

He is the son of Abbas bin Abdul Mutthalib bin Hashim, the Prophet's uncle and his mother was Umm Al-Fadl bint Harith Lababah sister Umm al-Mu'mineen Maimunah.



Friends who have a highly respected position is called the informant Muslims. Beliaulah origin Daulat Abbasid caliph pedigree. He was born in Mecca and large in the advent of Islam, where he remained with the Prophet so that he has a lot of history authentic hadith of the Prophet. He participated in the ranks of Ali ibn Abi Talib in the battle of Jamal and Siffin war. He is an expert of jurisprudence, Arabic genetic, war and history. At the end of his life he suffered blindness, so he lived in Taif until the end.


Abdullah was born three years before the Hijrah of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi Wassalam and praying for "God give him understanding in the field of religion and give him knowledge takwil (interpretation)". God answered the prayers of His Prophet and Ibn Abbas later famous for his knowledge mastery of a broad and deep knowledge fikihnya, making people who wanted to in turn to an important fatwa after Abdullah bin Mas'ud, for approximately thirty years.


About Ibn Abbas, Ubaidullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah said: 'I have never seen someone who is more understanding of the science of hadith of Ibn Abbas about the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi Wassalam and keputusan2 made Abubakar, Umar, and Uthman ".


Similarly, on jurisprudence, interpretation, Arabic, sya'ir, arithmetical and fara'id. One day he watched the man sitting to discuss the science of jurisprudence, one day for interpretation, one the other day to the problem of war, one day to discuss poetry and Arabic. According to An-Nasa'i, sanad most Saheeh hadeeth of Ibn Abbas is narrated by az-Zuhri, from Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin 'Utba, from Ibn abbas. While most Dlaif is narrated by Muhammad ibn Marwan al-Suddi Ash-Sagheer and Al-Kalabi, from Abi Salih. This circuit is called Al-Kadzib pedigree (pedigree lie).


Ibn Abbas followed the battle of Hunain, Ta'if, Conquest of Makkah and the Farewell Pilgrimage. He witnessed the conquest of Africa with Ibn Abu as-Sarah. Jamal and Siffin War war with Ali ibn Abi Talib.


He died in the year 68 H. Taef Ibn al-Hanafiyah participate
pray/salat for him.
