Abu Bakr Ash-Shiddiq (11-13 H)

His full name was Abdullah ibn Uthman ibn Amr ibn Amr ibn Ka`ab bin Sa`ad son Taim bin Murrah bin Ka`ab bin Lu`ai bin Ghalib ibn Fihr al-Qurasy at-Taimi - radhiyallahu`anhu. Nasabnya met with the Prophet on his grandfather Murrah bin Ka'b bin Lu'ai. Abu Bakr was the Companions of the Prophet - shalallahu`alaihi was greeting - which had accompanied the Prophet from the beginning he sent him as an Apostle, he was among those who early convert to Islam. Abu Bakr had the nickname "Ash-Shiddiq" and "Atiq".

It should say that Abu Bakr was nicknamed "as-Siddiq" because when an event occurs isra` Mi`raj, people deny the incident, while Abu Bakr immediately confirmed.

Messenger of Allah has been witness friendship with Abu Bakr in the Qur'an, which in his words: "... she was one of two people when they are in the cave, at the time he said to his friend: 'Do not grieve, indeed God with us'. "(Surat at-Tawbah: 40)

`Aisha, Abu Sa'id and Ibn Abbas in interpreting this verse says:" Abu Bakr was the one who accompanied the Prophet in the cave. "

Allah said: "And those who bring truth and justify it, they are the ones who fear Allah." (Az-Zumar: 33)

Al-Al-Dhahabi once brought this verse in his book al-Kabaa`ir, he narrated that Ja`far as-Sadiq said: "There is no dispute anymore that people who come with the truth is the Messenger of Allah, while that justifies is Abu Bakr. Are there still keistimeaan that exceeds keistimeaannya in the middle of the companions? "

Of Amr ibn al-As , that the Messenger send in troops Dzatus Salasil: "I then came to him and asked" Who is the man you love? "He said:" Aisha "I said:" that of a man? "He replied: "father (Abu Bakr)" I said: "Then who?" He replied: "Omar" and a few men. "(Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

"Allah has make me as his lover, as he makes Ibrahim as his lover. And if I take from my people as a lover, would I make Abu Bakr as a lover. "(HR. Bukhari and Muslim)

From Abu Sa'id, that the Prophet sat on the pulpit, and then said: "Surely there is a servant who was given a choice by God, which was given the luxury of the world with what is on his side. So that servant chose what is on his side ", then Abu Bakr cried and cried, and said:" Our father and mother as ransom ". Abu Sa'id said: "The meaning of the servant is the Messenger of Allah, and Abu Bakr was the most knowledgeable among us". Messenger of Allah said: "Verily the most widely provide me with wealth protection and friendship is Abu Bakr. Suppose I should take a lover (in another narration there are additional: "besides rabb-ku"), surely I would take Abu Bakr as my beloved. But this is a brotherhood in Islam. Nothing in the mosque except the door has been closed, but only the door of Abu Bakr alone (which is still open). "(HR. Bukhari and Muslim)

Prophet said: "Allah has sent me to you all. But you just said `you are a liar '. While Abu Bakr confirmed (teaching). He has helped me with life and property. Are you going to leave me (to the left) Sahabahs? "He spoke the words that two times. Since then Abu Bakr was never hurt (by one of the Muslims). (HR. Bukhari)

Caliphate period

In the history of al-Bukhari narrated from Aisha, that when the Prophet died, Abu Bakr came on horseback from his home in the area Sunh. He fell from his mount animals were then entered into the mosque. He did not invite anyone to talk to finally enter into the house of Aisha. Abu Bakr reveal the Prophet's face covered with a cloth and then kissed her forehead. Abu Bakr wept and said: "for the sake of my father and mother as ransom, God will not collect two deaths on you. As for the deaths that have been assigned to you, then you are already dead. "Then Abu Bakr came out and Umar were talking in front of people. Then Abu Bakr said: "Sit down, O Umar!" But Umar reluctant to sit. So the people went to Abu Bakr and Umar left. Abu Bakr said: "Amma bad`du, whoever of you have worshiped Muhammad, then Muhammad was indeed dead. If you worship Allah, verily Allah is living and will never die. God has said:"Muhammad is no more than a messenger, that passed away before some apostles. What if he dies or is killed, will you turn back (apostate)? Whoever turned back, then he can not bring harm to God at all, and God will reward those who give thanks. "(Surah Al 'Imran: 144)

Ibn Abbas said: "By Allah, as if people do not know that God has revealed this verse until Abu Bakr recited. Then everyone receives the verses of the Qur'an, no one among those who hear it but sung it. "

Sa'id bin Musayyab said that Umar when it says: "By Allah, it seems I've heard that verse when read by Abu Bakr, to the point that I could not lift my legs, until I bowed to the ground when I heard Abu Bakr read it. Now I already know that a prophet is dead. "

In the history of al-Bukhari others, Umar said: "The people steeled their hearts while still shedding tears. Then people Anshor gathered around Sa`ad bin Ubadah located in Bani Saqifah Sa`idah ". They said: "From among us (Anshor) there is a leader, as well as from among you!". Then Abu Bakr, Umar and Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarroh approach them. Umar began to speak, but immediately stopped Abu Bakr. In this case Umar said: "By Allah, I wanted to really just express that I think is very good. I'm afraid of Abu Bakr did not deliver ". Then Abu Bakr talk, it turns out he's the one who terfasih in his words, he said: "We are the leader, while you are the ministers." Habbab ibn al-Mundhir responded: "No, by God we will not do, than we are the leader and there is also a leader of you. "Abu Bakr replied:" No, we are the leader, while you are the ministers. They (the immigrants) is the fairest Arabian tribes, the most noble and most well nasabnya. So baiatlah Umar or Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarroh. "Then Umar interrupted:" In fact we will membai `atmu. You are our sayyid, the best among us and most beloved Prophet. "Umar and Abu Bakr and holding hands membai`atnya followed by the crowd. Then there is a saying: "You have to kill (right caliph) Sa`ad (bin Ubadah)." Then Umar said: "God has killed him." (Bukhari)

According to the `ulama historian, Abu Bakr receive services milking goats for the villagers. When he has dibai`at become caliph, there is a village woman said: "Abu Bakr now will no longer redden our goat milk." The words were heard by Abu Bakr that he said: "no, even I will still receive services milking goats you all. Actually I hope with the office in which I present the clothing did not change the habits of the past. "Evidently, Abu Bakr still redden milk their goats.

When Abu Bakr was appointed Caliph, Umar ordered him to take care of the affairs of the Muslim pilgrimage. It was not until the following year to do Hajj Abu Bakr. As for the pilgrimage, he did in the month of Rajab of 12 he entered Makkah H. around the time of Duha and went straight to his house. He was accompanied by some young people who were talking to him. Then say to Abu Quhafah (father Abu Bakr): "This is your son (has come)!"

Then Abu Quhafah rose from his place. Abu Bakr rushed to tell his camel kneel. He fell from his camel when the camel was not yet had time to perfect his knees and said: "O my father, do not you stand up!" Then Abu Bakr Abu Quhafah hugged and kissed her forehead. Of course, Abu Quhafah cry as flood of happy with the arrival of his son.

After that came a few leaders of Makkah as Attab bin Usaid, Suhail bin Amr, Ikrimah bin Abi Jahl, and al-Harith bin Hisham. They all say hello to Abu Bakr: "Assalamu`alaika O Caliph of the Prophet!" They all shook hands with Abu Bakr. Then Abu Quhafah said: "O Atiq (nickname Abu Bakr), they are the people (good). Therefore, Liaise good friendship with them! "Abu Bakr said:" O my father, there is no power and effort but only with the help of God. I have given a very heavy burden, of course I would not have the strength to bear it except only with the help of God. "Then Abu Bakr said:" Is there anyone who would complain about a tyrannical act? "Apparently no one came to Abu Bakr to report a tyranny. Everyone is even flatter their leader.
